Analysis of proteins provides unparalleled insight into the function of many biological systems. Chromatography and mass spectrometry are the core technologies that provide the capability to measure proteins in their native or identify and quantify thousands of proteins in a single experiment (termed bottom up proteomics).
The course will provide theoretical background of discovery proteomics and native protein analysis, including how raw data of typical experiments are produced, what information it provides, how to process the data and interpretation.
The course will also include live demonstrations at the de Botton Institute for Protein Profiling and at Prof. Michal Sharon’s laboratories of how to run samples on the instruments and process data.
