Syllabus
The bio and soft matter physics group is composed of researchers from different departments in the faculties of chemistry, physics and biology with a common interest in understanding and quantifying human scale phenomena. The student seminar is aimed at acquainting the students with the research held in other labs and with the theoretical and experimental tools used by them. The participating students will present their own work and/or research tools and will be provided with a broad perspective input from the group. The students could also present seminal papers from their field. Each participating student will be required to give one talk per year.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course the students will be able to:
- Present a broader perspective on the fields of soft-matter and bio-physics.
- Put their own work in a wider context.
- Demonstrate knowledge of experimental and theoretical tools.
- Pesent their work to a diverse audience.
