Syllabus

The course will apply the "action research" methodology as a bridge between aspects of research in science education, and the biology teachers' classroom practice. The students will choose a research subject, in relation to their practice and science education content learnt at the courses: "Introduction to Science Education" and "Cognition". They will plan their data collection methods and analysis, gather the data in their classes and analyze it. The students group will function as a supportive community of colleagues, by means of collaborative thinking and several stages of feedback at the meetings and at the course web site. Continuous assessment will be applied.
