Syllabus
The bio and soft matter physics group is composed of researchers from different departments in the faculties of chemistry, physics and biology with a common interest in understanding and quantifying human-scale phenomena. The student seminar and journal club is aimed to expose the members of the group to seminal works in this wide field. Each of the students will be required to present an important work from their field (that neither they nor their advisor authored). Every session will include two such presentations, followed by a short discussion. Every student will be expected to present once or twice per year.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course the students will:
- Obtain a broader perspective on the fields of soft-matter and biophysics.
- Improve their presentation skills.
