Syllabus

Basic notions in Statistical Analysis and Probability Theory will be covered, in particular modeling issues, statistical inference and decision theory, with an emphasis on common fallacies of intuitive judgment in daily applications.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:

Discuss their acquired perception of statistics and probability, in particular, the difficulties involved in practicing and teaching these topics.
