Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:
- Describe fundamental concepts in the primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary structure of proteins.
- Explain how the structure of a protein affects its function.
- Explain the energetics and forces that govern stability and folding of proteins.
- Demonstrate proficiency in new techniques that are used to characterize protein structure and function.
- Analyze experimental data.
- Work with proteapedia including constructing their own proteopedia pages for the benefit of other chemistry teachers and students.
