Syllabus

This is a new course. The course will focus on undersrtanding the planetary climate and atmosphere/ocean dynamics of the following planets/moons from a theoretical, observational and modeling perspective. It will be divided approximtely as:

1. Venus (2 sessions).

2. Mars (2 sessions)

3. Jupiter and Saturn (2 sessions)

4. Uranus and Neptune (1 session)

5. Titan (2 sessions)

6. Pluto (1 session)

7. Europa and the icy moons (2 sessions)

8. Tidally locked/spinning exoplanets (2 sessions)

Learning Outcomes

The students will study the basics of the planetray climate of these systems. 

A previous course in atmosphere/ocean fluid dynamics will be helpfull, but not a strict prerequisit.
