Syllabus

The Computer Science (CS) didactic workshops will focus on various means for teaching CS. This is a full year course. The high-school will be presented, and the relevant literature will be discussed. The course will focus on various aspects of teaching CS: processes of student learning, integration of domains, the National, learning activities, learning materials, use of visualization tools as well as CS Unplugged activities and assessment methods. We will discuss common students' alternative conceptions with regards to CS concepts, and we will use visualization tools as well as CS Unplugged activities. We will develop lessons and tests, and study how to assess examinations and projects.


There will be training of the participants in teaching lessons.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course- students should be able to:

  1. Conduct classes.
  2. Master the national curriculum of Computer Science for schools.
  3. Formulate examinations in computer science domains.
