Syllabus

The course will focus on the moduli interpretation of modular curves, which is an important theme of modern algebraic geometry, and, time permitting, on their integral models.

Learning Outcomes

The students will deepen their understanding of (arithmetic) geometry and will have the basic knowledge to approach some of the most important results in the area.

Reading List

  • Diamond, Im " Modular curves and modular forms"
  • Milne "Elliptic modular curves"
  • Katz, Mazur "Arithmetic moduli of elliptic curves"
