Syllabus

The Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Science (AMOS) seminar is a mix of lectures by Weizmann AMO students, scientists, and invited guests.

Student talks may focus on any scientific topic that interests them – from journal club-style presentations to discussions of their own research, or anything in between. In-depth discussion following each talk is an integral part of the seminar. Students who give a talk during the year will receive 1 credit point.

Presenting at the AMOS seminar is an expected part of the PhD program in AMO. MSc students and postdocs are also encouraged to volunteer.

Learning Outcomes

Student speakers will gain experience presenting scientific topics to a scientific audience. The AMOS seminar also provides an opportunity to receive feedback on a topic that interests them.
