Syllabus

The primary goal of the Student Seminar is to train students in presenting talk in the most coherent way and be tuned to the audience and their questions. The talk will preferably be on their own research work, however, the stress would be on the presentation style, content, standing in the time limit, and handling questions. The course will start with an introductory lecture by the course instructor, and will continue with a series of lectures given by the participating students - two lectures followed by a discussion in each meeting.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:

  1. Present seminars in a coherent way for different audiences
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in stressing the main points of the work, independently of the length of the talk.
  3. Form good communication with the audience
  4. Address questions related to the topic of the presentation
