Learning Outcomes

The theory of semisimple Lie groups and their counterpart, locally symmetric spaces is fundamental and central in modern mathematics with connections to many other arias such as differential geometry, analytic and geometric group theory, metric geometry, number theory and topology and has applications in these and other arias including combinatorics and computer science.
