The parasite world, human infecting parasites, pathogenic bacteria, host-pathogen interaction, introduction to virology, viruses.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be introduced to the fascinating world of pathogens: parasites, bacteria and viruses. The course will give detailed insights into the diversity of the microbial world, host-pathogen interaction and the impact of microbes on human health. Upon completing the course, students will gain a better understanding of the similarities and differences among pathogens and the unique relationships with their host cells. Students are expected to participate in active learning activities and participate in class discussion to deepen their understanding of the microbial world.
