Syllabus

Clouds and rain form a complex system that links processes across multiple scales through a network of feedback. In this course, we will explore key topics in cloud physics, ranging from microphysics and droplet evolution to global-scale cloud feedback. We will also investigate different approaches to studying complex systems, including theoretical work, remote sensing, and numerical models.

Learning Outcomes

This course will help students appreciate the challenges of cloud physics and understand the important role of clouds in the water cycle and climate system.
