Syllabus

     ·       Introduction: content and state of the Universe, observational probes of expansion

·       Introduction to GR, Einstein's equations, FRW solution, Friedmann's equations

·       The cosmic microwave radiation background, recombination and last scattering

·       Thermodynamics of expanding Universe, thermal history, Big-bang nucleosynthesis, cold dark matter

·       Cosmological perturbation theory: growth of structure, matter power spectrum, cosmic microwave background anisotropies
